Our organization is the winner of the RECAM 2017 Award as

Promoter of the Year in Renewable Projects in Central American and the Caribbean

OTEPI has successfully completed the largest photovoltaic roof project conducted in the Republic of Panama, where they were installed more than 4.5 MWp on the roofs of 24 stores Cochez and Novey. With this project, OTEPI has established itself as a leader in Panama and has consolidate its position as a major player in the region in renewable energy.

The project was developed in stages between 2014 and 2017, under the leadership and direction of OTEPI selected as general contractor. These photovoltaic systems are able to supply between 50% and 80% of electricity consumption in stores maintaining the connection to the utility grid where surplus energy injected during the day to consume at night. This net energy consumption is registered by a bidirectional meter.

To date (March 2017), no company has completed in Panama more photovoltaic systems on commercial roofs than OTEPI, according to the latest statistics published by ASEP on systems for self-consumption with net energy balance.
